We are introducing a new concept Scorpion Compact Vision System. The first product in this exciting series is the Scorpion Basic Plus that is targeting cost-effective 2D robot vision, assembly verification, identification and sorting. The system targets OEM and system integrators that want a professional configurable, low cost and rugged multi camera system.

The core of the system is the latest release of Scorpion Vision Software Version X with new Metro look and the best Windows compatibility. The compact user interface enables the user to use the PC with multiple machine vision systems.
Complete Vision Package with proven machine vision hardware
The package consists of the following state-of-the-art machine vision components: Scorpion Vision Basic Plus – an enhanced version of Scorpion Basic designed to make accurate 2D Robot Vision, a Scorpion Compact PC – a robust solid state, fanless PC with flexible expansions slots and 1 – 4 digital firewire or GigE cameras from Sony.
The system can be connected to other devices with digital io, rs-232, modbus and tcp/ip.
In addition a nice selection of Scorpion Vision Apps is included in the package to make it easy for the user.

The Compact Vision System is easy to keep up to date. The Scorpion Vision Installer is continuously updated over the internet. New components, apps and samples are added to the Scorpion Vision Repository.
Scorpion Vision Software® Concept
Scorpion Vision Software provides powerful image processing for 2D and 3D applications without the need of programming skills. Machine Solutions and Scorpion Vision Apps are developed in a user friendly graphical user interface that can be customized to show various amounts of information and controls to the operator. A number of different image analysis tools are available with user selectable outputs. This allows for rapid development from the simplest to the most complex image analysis tasks. The Scorpion Tool Components extends the Scorpion Toolbox with OpenCV, Numpy, SciPy or other image processing modules.
The user interface also has built-in statistics and logging capabilities making it ideal for process control and integrating with manufacturing database systems. Scorpion Vision Software® is an extremely robust and accurate 2D and 3D machine vision framework including: integrated python development, 2D toolbox of 100 tools, 2D and 3D visualization, 3D toolbox containing 50 tools, extremely accurate 3D stereo vision and a nice tool set for 3D point cloud processing.
Scorpion Vision Software® is an independent and open software tool. The system gives the user the choice of a small form factor of an embedded PC, a SmartCam or the power of an Industrial PC multi-core PC. The system is founded on top of a standard Windows XP/Vista/7 PC platform. It is cost effective benefitting from the processing power of the multi core CPU, low cost – high quality firewire/usb/GigE cameras and the possibility of connecting multiple cameras to one PC.
The Scorpion Stinger family of hardware components is compatible with Scorpion Vision Software. Scorpion solves tasks within 2D and 3D robot vision, label inspection, assembly verification, color identification and gauging.
