The family of Scorpion Stinger Camera is extended with the industrial Scorpion 3D Box Camera with a configurable baseline. We target OEM and system integrators that want proven and professional, cost effective software and hardware components for 3D machine vision for Automation.
This 3D camera with a baseline from 150 to 1000 mm is a good complement to the exiting range of camera:
- Scorpion 3D Venom Camera – 10 mm baseline,
- Scorpion 3D Stinger Cameras – 30 mm baseline
- Scorpion 3D Stinger – 200 mm baseline
With this extension we support 3D Stereo Vision with working distances from 100 mm to more than 10.0 meters.
New Scorpion 3D Box Camera – support working areas up 4.0 x 4.0 meter
The Scorpion 3D Box Camera™ is a cost-effective, high performance and flexible industrial camera enclosed with integrated illumination.
The camera is used for 3D image generation, 3D measurement and 3D objects location.
Working distances from 1.0 m to 20.0 meter
Working area from 1.0 x 1.0 m to 4.0 x 4.0 mm.
Baselines from 0.1 m to 1.0 m
Depth Resolution from 1.0 mm with 6.0 MegaPixel Camera.
Up to 10 MP Color or monochrome
The unique One Push Calibration technology ensures automatic, and the most accurate 3D calibration. Multiple Scorpion 3D Box Camera can thus be registered to make a 360 degree 3D Image with millimeter precision. Scorpion Vision Software has all the capabilities to register and align multiple Scorpion 3D Box Cameras.
The Scorpion 3D Stinger for Robot Vision and Scorpion 3D Box Camera combination provides the optimal balance between cost and performance for OEMs and System Builders targetting 3D Robot Vision.
A global shutter Scorpion 3D Box Cameras extracts 3D information on moving objects. The large baseline ensure depth resolution where sorther baseline cameras fails.

The Scorpion 3D Box Camera can be supplemented by Scorpion LEDspots, LEDBox, LaserBox accessorise to create state-of-the-art 3D machine vision solutions.
There is a selection of Scorpion Stinger PCs from the smallest Scorpion Ultra Compact PC to the Scorpion Embedded PC with 5 GigE ports and a powerful i7 CPU.
Scorpion 3D Stinger Technology
The Scorpion 3D Stinger Technology provides powerful machine vision for 2D and 3D applications without the need of programming skills. The Scorpion Stinger family of hardware components is compatible with Scorpion Vision Software. We provide all hw and sw components needed to make machine vision automation. This includes configurable sw for 2D and 3D image processing, image storing and traceability, data logging, configurable IO, interfacing with PLCs, robots and databases, support for the latest GigE cameras with cost and quality tailored to the application. In the Scorpion Stinger family there are industrial IP-64 2D and 3D cameras with integrated illumination, industrial LEDbars and support for a large number of flexible IO modules. The Scorpion Vision Software supports more or less any protocol like rs-232, tcp/ip, modbus, profibus and OPC.
